The program has more consistency in year-two under coach Danny DiSantis, after it had different four coaches in four years, but the Colonels may look different on the field this season.

    In its third year of existence, Oldham County girls lacrosse harvested its growth with its first Region 4 championship and graduation of 13 seniors, twelve of whom helped begin the program. Now, coach Jimmy Conklin and the Lady Colonels are tasked with rebuilding and reloading from the best year in the brief program history.

    After several disappointing outcomes in the regional tournament in recent years, Oldham County boys basketball is headed back to the KHSAA Sweet 16 State tournament for the first time since 2012 following a 71-56 victory over South Oldham in the regional final Tuesday March 6.

    South Oldham boys basketball defeated Anderson County 95-53 as Devin Young, Luke Morrison and Peyton Hicks combined for 70 points in the Eighth Region tournament semi-finals. The Dragons led for nearly the entire game and held double-digit in the second half.

    South Oldham boys basketball entered the Eighth Region tournament losers of four of its past five games, but looked like its familar self in the annual regional tournament hosted at Henry County.

    South Oldham girls basketball season ended with a 80-56 loss to Anderson County in the first round of the Eighth Region tournament Tuesday Feb. 27 hosted at Simon Kenton.

    Payton Herold had a team-high 23 points while Skylar Sahatjian finished with 17 points for South Oldham. Lexi Bowlden had five points and seven rebounds.
