  • EOMS B-team Finishes Perfect...

GOSHEN – Coach James Kelly’s favorite saying to his players is that practice doesn’t make perfect, but that “perfect practice makes perfect.”

That mindset has led to a perfect year for his East Oldham Middle School B-Team Patriots.

East Oldham clinched a perfect regular season Monday with an 8-0 win over North Oldham Middle School’s B-Team at Mustang Stadium.

  • Dragons conquer Conner

CRESTWOOD – Conner came to town Friday with the hype. The Cougars left town with a loss.

South Oldham played maybe its best all-around game of the season, beating Conner 34-32 in its district opener at Dragon Stadium.

“Everyone doubted us in the beginning and no one’s ever believed in us,” said quarterback Chase Lightfoot. “That’s just how South Oldham fights. We come out and fight every time.”

  • OC Football snaps losing streak

SHEPHERDSVILLE – Playing in a torrential downpour, Oldham County was able to wash away a three-game losing skid Friday night.

The Colonels turned in a dominating performance, rushing for 370 yards in a 33-0 blowout of North Bullitt before a sparse crowd at C.T. Collins Field.

“It’s good, I’m glad that we got it after three losses,” quarterback James Harding said. “It feels like we’re playing well now.”

The biggest play of the game came on the defensive side for the Colonels.
