    Oldham County softball claimed its ninth straight district title with a 13-7 victory over South Oldham in Goshen May 22. After trailing by six runs, the Lady Colonels erupted for 13 runs in the fourth and fifth inning in the District 29 final.

    The Lady Colonels comeback started with an adjustment at the plate.

    South Oldham baseball defeated Trimble County 10-0 in the District 29 semi-finals May 20 in Buckner to ensure itself a spot in the Eighth Region tournament.

    Dustin Patton allowed two hits and no runs while striking out 14 to earn the win for South Oldham. Lincoln Price went 1 for 2 with two RBIs. JT Benson went 1 for 3 and scored two runs.

    South Oldham softball defeated Lyon County 2-1 in Louisville May 18 in the final game of the regular season. The Lady Dragons finish the regular season with 17 wins, the most since 2012.

    Ballard softball defeated South Oldham 5-3 in Louisville May 18. The Lady Dragons trailed by five runs before scoring three in the sixth inning.

    Same opponent, same result.

    South Oldham boys lacrosse lost to St. Xavier (Louisville) in the state semi-finals for the fourth straight year. The Tigers defeated South Oldham 18-2 in Louisville May 15.

    St. X controlled a majority of the possessions in the first half and built an early lead.
