  • Boys soccer: Colonels silence...

    Oldham County boys soccer continued its regular season mastery of District 29 opponents and is a win away from sealing a spot in the Eighth Region tournament. The Colonels defeated North Oldham 1-0 Tuesday Sept. 4 in Buckner for their seventh straight regular season victory against district opponents.

  • Dragon football hosts Mustangs...

    The second of three intra-county rivalry football games kicks off Friday Sept. 7 in Crestwood as South Oldham hosts North Oldham.

    The Dragons bounced back from a season-opening loss to Christian Academy of Louisville (CAL) with a 42-6 victory over Doss Aug. 24. South Oldham was on a bye week last weekend.

  • South Oldham honors Cy Tucker

    The best part of the night wasn’t when South Oldham named Dragon Stadium’s field after him, to Cy Tucker, a man that’s won seven state championships and 390 games as South Oldham’s girls soccer coach, the best part to him was being able to see the dozens of former players that celebrated with him Monday Aug. 27 in Crestwood.

  • Colonels football tops Mustangs

    Once again, defense and a ground game carried Oldham County football to a victory.

    The Colonels extended their winning streak to three games over rival North Oldham with a 31-0 victory Friday Aug. 24 in Goshen. The Colonels are 2-0 for the first time since 2005 after rushing for 349 yards and notching their second straight shutout to begin the season.

  • Lady Dragon field hockey wins...

    South Oldham field hockey won Sacred Heart’s Apple Tournament B-Division title for the second straight year. The Lady Dragons defeated Louisville Male 3-1 Friday Aug. 24 to win the tournament and started 6-0 for the second straight season.

  • Colonels and Mustangs prepare...

    There are no postseason implications at stake, but the annual rivalry between Oldham County and North Oldham represents the first of three intra-county football games this fall. This is the first time since 2012 that the teams will face off each with 1-0 records as the Colonels and Mustangs both won their season openers last Friday.

  • Lady Colonel soccer ties Boone...

    Oldham County girls soccer tied Boone County 1-1 Thursday Oct. 4 in Buckner in the final game of the regular season. Kennedi Roehrig scored the Lady Colonels lone goal on an assist from Tristan Whalen 10 minutes into the first half.

    Simon Kenton girls soccer ended Oldham County’s season for the fourth straight year in another tightly-contested match.

    Oldham County coach Mark Robson hoped the Lady Colonels could rely on their defense to keep the match within reach and then finding a scoring opportunity late, which Oldham County did.

    Once the offense got going, South Oldham girls soccer cruised to a 5-1 victory over Henry County in the Eighth Region quarterfinals Monday Oct. 15 in Crestwood. Lizzie Klehr, Olivia Knabel, Alexis Kronenthal, Claire Michel and Aly Peacock each scored a goal for the Lady Dragons while Presley Crowe had a goal for Henry County.

    South Oldham football won its seventh-straight game with a 70-14 victory over Bullitt Central Friday Oct. 12 in Shepherdsville.
