    Oldham County boys basketball showed some resilience to remain undefeated.

    The Colonels defeated Highlands 58-54 in the Ronald McDonald Classic Saturday, Dec. 8 in Buckner by holding off a comeback attempt by the visitors from the Ninth Region.

    Colonel coach Coy Zerhusen said his team was resilient in a back-and-forth game filled with runs.

  • Male girls basketball defeats...

    A day after a dominant district win, Oldham County girls basketball suffered its first loss of the season as Louisville Male defeated the Lady Colonels 57-38 Saturday, Dec. 8 in Buckner.

    Sophia Head had a team-high 14 points while Bailey Duke and Alexis Head each finished with six points for Oldham County.

    South Oldham girls basketball won its fourth game with a 52-39 victory over North Hardin Saturday, Dec. 8 in Crestwood.

    Brynna Blackburn finished with 15 points and four rebounds. Skylar Sahatjian added 14 points. Alexa Von Feldt had eight points and nine rebounds. Payton Herold tallied eight points and seven assists.

    South Oldham boys basketball denied Grant County an Eighth Region road win with defense.

    The Dragons defeated Grant County 80-75 Friday, Dec. 7 in Crestwood as South Oldham rallied from an eight-point second half deficit.

    South Oldham girls basketball defeated Atherton 73-36 Saturday, Dec. 1 in Louisville for its third win of the season. With defensive pressure, the Lady Dragons controlled the tempo and led for the entire game.

    Turnovers led to transition baskets as South Oldham girls basketball passed its way to its second win of the season. The Lady Dragons finished with 19 assists as they defeated Henry County 62-42 Friday, Nov. 30 in Crestwood to improve to 2-0.

    Oldham County boys basketball won its ninth straight season opener with a 67-55 victory over North Hardin Tuesday, Nov. 27 in Buckner. After facing an early 10-point deficit in the first half, the Colonels rallied and built a double-digit lead with a 15-2 run in the third quarter.

  • Dragon basketball opens with win

    After the court was dedicated to coach Steve Simpson, South Oldham boys basketball opened its season with a 95-59 victory over Collegiate Monday, Nov. 26 in Crestwood. A 13-0 run in the first quarter helped the Dragons build a double-digit lead, which they sustained for the remainder of the game as South Oldham made 17 3-pointers.

  • Dragon football hosts South...

    With a trip to the state championship game on the line, South Oldham football hosts South Warren Friday, Nov. 23 in Crestwood at 7:30 p.m. The state semi-final match up pits the two highest scoring offenses in Class 5-A.

  • North swimming sweeps opening...

    North Oldham swimming continued where it left off last season, winning the Autumn Classic Invitational in Shelbyville Saturday, Nov. 17.

    North Oldham won the 11-team meet with 546.5 points. Simon Kenton finished second with 399.5 points. Oldham County placed fourth with 332 points while South Oldham finished fifth with 235 points.
