    Oldham County boys basketball couldn't recover from an early deficit, falling to Pleasure Ridge Park (PRP) boys basketball 65-58 Tuesday, Jan. 22 in Buckner. The visiting Panthers used a 15-0 run in the first quarter to build a 14-point advantage, a deficit the Colonels closed to within three several times in the fourth quarter, but never came closer.

    South Oldham wrestling hosted the Dragon Invitational Saturday, Jan. 19 in Crestwood. St. Xavier (Louisville) won the 15-team meet with 242.5 points. Oldham County finished second as the runner-up with 232 points. South Oldham placed sixth with 111 points while North Oldham was eighth with 103 points.

    Oldham County ensured the top seed in the District 29 tournament with a 60-45 win over North Oldham Friday, Jan. 18 in Goshen. After trailing by a point at halftime, the Colonels outscored North Oldham by 22 points in the third quarter to complete its regular season district schedule undefeated.

The Lady Dragons rallied from a six-point second half deficit and took a three-point lead with less than two minutes left, but Ballard scored seven of the game's final nine points to win.

    The Colonels defeated South Oldham 83-80 Friday, Jan. 11 in Buckner. After leading by 11 points at halftime, the Colonels never relinquished their lead despite a desperate comeback attempt by the Dragons.
