  • Ballard field hockey edges South

    A stifling defensive performance led Ballard field hockey to a 2-0 victory over South Oldham in Crestwood Sept. 16. The Lady Dragons were shut out for the third time this season as the visitors didn't allow many clean shots.

  • Colonel football to Manual

    Manual football defeated Oldham County 41-14 in Louisville Sept. 14 as six different players scored touchdowns for the Crimsons.

    Sam Young completed 15 of 25 for 126 yards and touchdown. Juan Tapia rushed for 88 for the Colonels. Bryce Rochet had a team-high eight tackles while Jaylen McRoberts and Preston Dykes each added six tackles.

  • South field hockey romps PRP

    South Oldham field hockey won its fifth straight game with an 11-0 victory over Pleasure Ridge Park (PRP) in Crestwood Sept. 10. Anna Crump scored a team-high four goals while Abby Garrett added two scores for the Lady Dragons in a game that ended at halftime because of a mercy rule.

  • Boys Soccer: Colonels edge...

    Oldham County boys soccer adjusted accordingly to defeat Louisville Male 3-1 in Buckner Sept. 10. Aaron Cook scored two goals and had an assist while Jate Longhurst finished with a goal and assist for Oldham County.

  • South volleyball sweeps Collins

    Aggressive serving led South Oldham volleyball to a straight-set victory.

    The Lady Dragons swept Collins in three sets (25-16, 25-20, 25-21) in Crestwood Sept. 9. South Oldham improved to 6-2 with the win over the Eighth Region opponent. Coach Amy Wells says the Lady Dragons have a goal of ending a match with twice as many aces as service errors.

  • South football blasts Bullitt...

    South Oldam renamed Dragon Stadium in honor of retired athletic director Mitchell Irvin and dispatched Bullitt Central 52-0 in Crestwood Sept. 6.

    Quarterback Anthony Pierce threw for two touchdowns and rushed for two scores for a South Oldham offense that gained 440 yards. JT Benson had a receiving and rushing touchdown while Keaton Martin rushed for 91 yards and a score.

  • Colonel football outlasts Shelby

    Oldham County football improved to 3-0 for the second straight season with a 31-28 victory over Shelby County in Buckner Sept. 6. Khaled Al Sad kicked a game-winning field goal with 48 seconds left after Shelby County rallied from a 14-point deficit to tie the game in the fourth quarter.

  • Girls Soccer: South rallies past...

    Down, but not out.

    South Oldham girls soccer earned its best regular season win in recent memory with a dramatic comeback against the seventh-ranked team in the state. The Lady Dragons scored two goals in the final five minutes to defeat Assumption 2-1 in Crestwood Sept. 5.

  • Boys Soccer: South ties Ryle

    South Oldham boys soccer played its third game in as many days, tying Ryle 1-1 in Crestwood Aug. 29. After falling to Oldham County 1-0 Tuesday and tying Ballard 1-1 Wednesday, Bruce Rademaker scored a late goal on a set piece from Grayson Klehr even the score against Ryle.
