    Oldham County’s Elana Ornelas and South Oldham’s Luke Morrison represented District 29 as the Athletes of the Year for the Eighth Region Athletic Directors Association.

    South Oldham boys lacrosse lost to St. Xavier (Louisville) in the state semi-finals for the fourth straight year. The Tigers defeated South Oldham 18-2 in Louisville May 15.

    St. X controlled a majority of the possessions in the first half and built an early lead.

    Levi Bristow resigned as head coach of Oldham County High School baseball after three seasons leading the program. Bristow is moving away from Oldham County with his family and plans to spend more time with his children.

    Elana Ornelas went 1 for 4 with three RBIs and a home run for Oldham County. Madison Davis went 2 for 4 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Emily Lindell went 4 for 4 with two runs scored. Taylor Jackson went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and a home run. 

  • South baseball falls in regionals

    Shelby County baseball defeated South Oldham 9-6 in the Eighth Region semi-finals at Simon Kenton May 26. The Rockets scored six runs in the sixth inning to break a 3-3 tie to advance to the regional final.

    JT Benson went 2 for 3 with two RBIs. Lincoln Price went 2 for 3. Cam Revolt hit a home run and pitched five innings for South Oldham.
