If the first two days of competition are any indication, the Oldham Cup could come down to the wire on Day Three at Nevel Meade Golf Course today.

After taking three of the possible six points at the Oldham County Country Club on Tuesday, North Oldham maintains its spot in first place ahead of South Oldham and Oldham County, but the Colonels made a surge to bring the competition within one point of all three schools.

CRESTWOOD — South Oldham senior Kailey Oliveros was named a team captain right before the start of Wednesday night’s district opener against Oldham County.

After sitting out the first few weeks of the season with a sprained foot, coach Kenny Burke said it was time her efforts as a supporter from the sideline be recognized with her progression on the field.

    Oliveros didn’t disappoint the honor.
