CRESTWOOD — South Oldham is learning what tempo it must keep in order to maintain competitiveness as one of Kentucky’s premier girls soccer teams.

It kept that tempo all night against the commonwealth’s No. 1 team, Sacred Heart Academy, in a 0-0 draw Wednesday night in Crestwood.

The Oldham County girls cross country team won the girls’ varsity race at the Trinity / Sacred Heart Invitational Saturday at Tom Sawyer Park. The Lady Colonels finished first out of 27 teams for their second first place award this season after winning the Shelby County Invitational on Sept. 10.

South Oldham field hockey is looking for more consistency in the second half of its season. North Oldham is searching for the spark that allowed it to start the season hot.
