Abigail Zoeller scored right at the start of the match and Simon Kenton held on for the 2-1 win Tuesday night on their home turf to advance to the Region 8 championship Thursday night against Oldham County.

CRESTWOOD — Oldham County coach Vince McDonough was a bit worried during the Lady Colonels’ district semifinals math against South Oldham when the Lady Dragons rallied in the third set.

It was a similar situation to the last time the two schools met in the regular season — OC goes up two sets, South dominates the third. In the regular season, the Lady Colonels won, but in a tournament setting, anything can happen.
