    North Oldham took first place at the annual Mustang Classic last Saturday. The Mustangs scored 197.5 total points in the field of 19 schools with 12 wrestlers finishing in the top six. Woodford County finished second with 184 points and Oldham County placed third with 179.

    Dallas Ochsenbein (120), Collin Portman (220) and Landin Jones (285) won their respective weight classes, with Ochsenbein and Portman earning the Most Oustanding Wrestler of the Tournament honors.

    LOUISVILLE — Jacob Karaglonis wanted to try something new when he decided to join North Oldham’s swim team this season. As a senior, Karaglonis knew the reputation North Oldham had built in the pool and wanted to contribute to the legacy.

    He didn’t realize he would enjoy that legacy as much as when he hoisted the Cup, which isn’t changing its address.

    CRESTWOOD — South Oldham seniors Starr Thompson and Drew Koch signed a National Letter of Intent to continue their respective football careers at Georgetown College on Friday.

    Koch finished his senior season with 10 field goals and 47 made extra point attempts. He kicked five field goals in South Oldham's win over Oldham County, which was one shy of the state record for most in a single game.
