  • Girls' Golf: Bebelaar makes...

BOWLING GREEN – South Oldham’s Molly Bebelaar did exactly what she set out to accomplish for her freshman year of golf.

Bebelaar aimed to make the state tournament in Bowling Green. Once she did that, she set a goal to make the cut into Saturday.

The freshman did all that and tied for 37th by shooting a 19-over par 163 tournament score at the KHSAA Girls’ State Golf Tournament at the Bowling Green Country Club last week.

  • Boys' Golf: Lenhart ties...

North Oldham junior Mason Lenhart set out a goal to finish in the top 10 at the KHSAA Boys’ State Golf Tournament last week.

Though Lenhart played well, the rest of the field played better as Lenhart tied for 15th at the KHSAA after two rounds at the Bowling Green Country Club.

  • District 29 Soccer Tournament:...

CRESTWOOD – Instead of one continuous game, the District 29 girls’ soccer tournament opener between Oldham County and North Oldham felt more like two separate 40-minute contests.

A rain delay that lasted an hour and 20 minutes during halftime stretched the game into a four-hour affair in a win or go home situation. The Lady Colonels netted two second half goals to advance to Thursday’s district title game against South Oldham with a 2-0 win over the Lady Mustangs.

  • District 29 Tournament: Dragons...

CRESTWOOD — The South Oldham soccer team has worked under the idea that if it scores one goal, it can get three.

In a win or go home game against North Oldham in the District 29 Tournament Tuesday night, that’s exactly what the Dragons did.
