    GOSHEN — North Oldham senior Grace Oglesby’s nationally recognized success at the butterfly swim may be from a result of consequences when she was younger.

    When Oglesby was 12, the butterfly was considered a punishing exercise by her coach. Any time the young Oglesby wasn’t doing a freestyle to standards, she was forced to practice long sets of butterfly, which is considered the most physically demanding form of swim.

    CRESTWOOD — For the second time in as many weeks, South Oldham had an opportunity to score in the final moments of the game after giving up the lead.

    It worked last week, but the Dragons’ last minute efforts weren’t enough in a tightly contested match to swoon Lady Luck once again.

    Lamarius Kinslow caught two second half touchdowns as Fern Creek edged South Oldham 21-20 to move on to the KHSAA Class 5-A state semifinals next week at Bowling Green.

    North Oldham athletic director Alan Yanke announced the resignation of two head coaches on Thursday.

    Ann Revell, the only girls soccer coach ever at North, will not return next season after 13 years at the helm and field hockey coach Michelle Dixon also announced her resignation.

    Dixon coached two years at North and helped build the interest in the sport also in its second year as a KHSAA sponsored sport.

    The Lady Mustangs went 6-12 this season.
