  • District 29 Volleyball: North...

CRESTWOOD — North Oldham’s regular season was set up to be challenging so it could prepare for the grind that comes with the postseason. The Lady Mustangs handled their first test easily with a sweep over Trimble County Monday night in the District 29 semifinals at South Oldham.

  • District 29 Volleyball: OC holds...

CRESTWOOD — Oldham County coach Vince McDonough was a bit worried during the Lady Colonels’ district semifinals math against South Oldham when the Lady Dragons rallied in the third set.

It was a similar situation to the last time the two schools met in the regular season — OC goes up two sets, South dominates the third. In the regular season, the Lady Colonels won, but in a tournament setting, anything can happen.

  • Roseberry runs over Mustangs...

SHELBYVILLE — North Oldham finds itself in uncharted territory.

The Mustangs need to win next week at Franklin County to have any chance of making the playoffs, a streak they’ve held since 2007.

In order to do that, North has to play well on both sides of the ball.

North showed signs of improvement Friday night, but had no answer for Collins running back Naseasn Roseberry in a 42-24 loss to the Titans in Shelbyville.
