  • Dragon football romps North...

    South Oldham stretched its winning streak to five games against a rival. The Dragons defeated North Oldham 38-0 in Goshen Sept. 13 to improve to 3-1.

    After both teams played a scoreless first quarter, South Oldham scored 38 unanswered points in the second and third quarters. The Dragons have shut out North Oldham in three straight games.

  • Girls Soccer: South tops Oldham

    Seemingly all aspects of the game came together in South Oldham’s 10th win of the season. The Lady Dragons handed Oldham County its first loss of the year with a 3-0 victory in Crestwood Sept. 11.

    A second-set adjustment helped Oldham County volleyball come away with a tightly contested rivalry win. The Lady Colonels defeated South Oldham in four sets (21-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-21) in Buckner Sept. 12.

    North Oldham cross country hosted the annual Rumble Through the Jungle meet Sept. 7 at Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve.

    Colonel golf places third at Butler Invitational

    Oldham County boys golf placed third at the Butler Invitational with a 320.

    Jaden Wilson finished with a team-best 75. Ben Spencer shot an 80 while Evan Beery and Isaac Moody each carded an 82. Tyler Wirth shot an 87.

    Specializing in one thing isn’t what Khaled Al Asad does.

    The senior at Oldham County High School seemingly does it all, because he basically does. When he isn’t a kicker on the football team, playing on the soccer and tennis teams, Al Asad is a drum major, bass clarinetist and journalist for the school’s magazine.

    North Oldham boys soccer defeated Oldham County 1-0 in Goshen Sept. 3. Drake Pyle scored the only goal on a penalty kick in the first half as the Colonels were shut out for the first time this season.

    Oldham County football continued its winning streak against a cross-county rival. The Colonels defeated North Oldham 58-14 in Buckner Aug. 30 for their fourth straight victory over the Mustangs. The Colonels scored a touchdown on all nine possessions.

  • Dragon football thrashes Eastern

    South Oldham football defeated Eastern 49-7 for its first win of the season. With a 36-point halftime lead, the Dragons played the entirety of the second half with a mercy-rule running clock.
