  • Guns top Hoses in 10th annual...

    The 10th annual Guns N Hoses charity flag football game between local first responders was hosted Aug. 10 at the Oldham County Youth Football League (OCYFL) fields in Buckner. The charity event that pits police officers against firefighters was won 34-21 by the Guns (police officers).

  • Post 39 juniors capture state...

    American Legion Post 39’s junior team captured the state championship in July. The baseball team comprised of players from Oldham, Henry, Trimble and Jefferson counties advanced to the regional tournament in Alabama before ending its season in the semi-finals.

  • Wallace, North finishes second...

    North Oldham boys golf placed second in the Oldham County Colonel Classic hosted at Nevel Meade Golf Course Monday, Aug. 5. Led by Drew Wallace, who finished second with a one-under 71, the Mustangs combined for a 303 in the 14-team tournament.

    “It’s a good finish for us,” Wallace said. “I wanted to put in a low number to help the team.”

    A grass roots fundraising effort is celebrating its 10th year.

    The annual Guns-N-Hoses charity flag football game that pits police officers and firefighters against each other resumes the first-responders rivalry Saturday, Aug. 10 at 1 p.m. hosted at Oldham County Youth Football League (OCYFL) in Buckner.
