  • Boys Basketball: South outlasts North
    It might tough to beat a rival twice, but South Oldham boys basketball did. The Dragons defeated North Oldham 80-71 Friday, Jan. 25 in Crestwood. After a 76-56 victory over North Oldham in late December, South Oldham coach Steve Simpson knew it was going to be different the second time. 
  • Girls Basketball: South tops North
    Thirteen points was once again the difference. After South Oldham girls basketball defeated North Oldham 50-37 in late December in a Holiday tournament, the Lady Dragons once again defeated North Oldham, this time, 65-52 Friday, Jan. 25 in Crestwood. 
  • Girls Basketball: South routs Shawnee
    South Oldham girls basketball celebrated the careers of five seniors and then defeated Shawnee 65-19 Wednesday, Jan. 23 in Crestwood. The Lady Dragons improved to 13-5 with the victory. Zoey Holland had a team-high 12 points as 12 players for South Oldham scored. Payton Herold finished with 11 points and six assists. Abby Miles added 10 points. 
  • Girls Basketball: South romps Trimble
    After two straight difficult defeats, South Oldham girls basketball earned a district win and got a confidence booster in the processs. 
  • Girls Basketball: Ballard tops South Oldham
    Ballard girls basketball lost its lead and then recovered, defeating South Oldham 54-52 Tuesday, Jan. 15 in Crestwood. The Lady Dragons rallied from a six-point second half deficit and took a three-point lead with less than two minutes left, but Ballard scored seven of the game's final nine points to win. 
  • Lady Dragon basketball drills J'town
    South Oldham girls basketball jumped out to an early lead, coasting to a 54-32 victory over Jeffersontown (J’town) Wednesday, Jan. 9 in Crestwood. The Lady Dragons went on a 19-0 run in the first quarter and sustained its double-digit margin for the remainder of the game. 
  • Dragon basketball tops Male in tournament final
    A third time was a charm for South Oldham boys basketball. After falling to schools from the Seventh Region in the championship game of its Holiday tournaments each of the past two seasons, the Dragons defeated Male 84-72 in the final of the Jean Schumm Operation Parent Classic hosted in Crestwood Saturday, Dec. 29.
  • Lady Dragon basketball wins Southern Jamboree
    South Oldham girls basketball beat a rival to win Southern’s Holiday Jamboree. The Lady Dragons defeated North Oldham 50-37 Friday, Dec. 28 in the tournament’s final. South Oldham held North Oldham to four points in the third quarter and outscored its district opponent by 10 points in the second half. 
  • Dragon basketball blasts Holmes
    South Oldham boys basketball defeated Holmes 86-41 in the first round of the Jean Schumm Operation Parent Classic hosted by South Oldham Thursday, Dec. 27 in Crestwood. Seth Johnson scored a game-high 24 points and Luke Morrison had 20 points for South Oldham.
  • Lady Dragon basketball romps Doss
    South Oldham girls basketball defeated Doss 65-11 in the first round of the Lady Trojans Holiday Jamboree Wednesday, Dec. 26 hosted by Southern. The Lady Dragons improved to 8-3 as 10 players scored for South Oldham. Abby Miles had a game-high 11 points, Alexa Von Feldt finished with nine points while Payton Herold and Zoey Holland each added seven points.
