  • Baseball: Butler silences South
    Butler baseball defeated South Oldham 11-0 in the first game of a doubleheader in Louisville May 11. After Robby Arnett pitched a scoreless first inning, Butler erupted for four runs in the second inning. Following a single and a double, Travis Rennirt laid down a squeeze bunt for Butler’s first run.
  • Boys Lacrosse: Dragons romp Atherton on senior night
    A torrential rainstorm and gusting winds didn’t put a damper on senior night for South Oldham boys lacrosse. The Dragons celebrated the careers of six seniors and defeated Atherton 13-1 Friday, April 19 in Crestwood. Luke Vazzana finished with two goals and an assist. Kyler Bennett and Andrew Campbell each scored two goals as 10 different Dragons scored.
  • Softball: Holy Cross edges South Oldham
    Holy Cross (Louisville) softball defeated South Oldham 3-2 in the semi-finals of the Lady Dragon Classic in Crestwood Saturday, April 13. Bella Velez hit a game-winning home run with one out in the seventh inning. Hailee Bates allowed three runs in six and 1/3 innings for South Oldham. MacKenna Williams went 2 for 4 with a run scored and double.
  • Softball: Lady Dragons outlast Fairdale
    South Oldham softball defeated Fairdale 11-7 in the Lady Dragon Classic tournament Saturday, April 13 in Crestwood. MacKenna Williams went 4 for 4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Hailee Bates pitched five innings to earn the win for South Oldham. 
  • Dragon tennis starts season 4-2
    South Oldham boys tennis has started the spring winners of four of its first six matches. The Dragons defeated Simon Kenton 5-0 last week. Wes Tuggle and Cole Thacker both won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0 while Rontih Bellary won his singles match in a third-set tiebreaker.
  • Softball: Lady Dragons beat CAL
    With a complete lineup, South Oldham softball is scoring runs. The Lady Dragons defeated Christian Academy of Louisville (CAL) 11-7 Monday March 25 in Crestwood to improve to 3-1. South Oldham is averaging 12 runs per game through the first week of the season.
  • Baseball: CAL tops South
    Christian Academy of Louisville (CAL) baseball defeated South Oldham 9-1 Monday, March 18 in Louisville. Casey Brown pitched five innings, allowing one run on three hits while driving in three runs at the plate for the Centurions. Back at it JT Benson started where he left off last season.
  • Girls Lacrosse: South romps Louisville Male
    A depleted roster didn’t prevent South Oldham girls lacrosse from a win. With six players out, the Lady Dragons defeated Louisville Male 15-3 Friday, March 15 in Crestwood. South Oldham scored the game’s first nine goals and never trailed, leading by double-digits for the entirety of the second half.
  • State tournament experience helps South baseball
    South Oldham baseball won the Eighth Region to reach the state tournament for the first time in school history last season. Several key pieces in Dragon coach Matt Walker’s lineup return including JT Benson, Matthew Reaves and Cam Revolt, but South Oldham has a revamped pitching staff with the graduation of its top pitchers from a year ago.
  • Progression continues for South Oldham softball
    South Oldham softball has improved its win total every season in three years under coach Jim Prather, and now the Lady Dragons finally have seniors. The team advanced to the Eighth Region tournament for the first time since 2013 last season.
