  • Mustang soccer rallies by South
    Two goals late in the second half propelled North Oldham boys soccer to a 2-1 win over South Oldham Saturday Sept. 28 in Goshen. Wyatt Smith had a goal and assist while Drake Pyle had the game-winning score for the Mustangs. Nathan Allen had a goal on an assist from Spencer Laws for the Dragons.
  • North volleyball edges South
    North Oldham volleyball defeated South Oldham in four sets (25-16, 23-25, 25-15, 26-24) for its 12th victory of the season Tuesday Sept. 18 in the Goshen. Addison Foote had a team-high 15 kills, 14 digs and three blocks while Meredith Kovarovic finished with 14 kills, 14 digs and three blocks. Brie Postema had 34 assists for North Oldham.
  • Dragon football advances to state semi-finals
     South Oldham football has won the regional title for the second time in three years. The Dragons defeated Fern Creek 35-12 Friday, Nov. 16 in Louisville to advance to the state semi-finals in the Class 5-A playoffs.

    Wearing black jerseys for the first time in four years, South Oldham football wanted to jump out early in the first round of the postseason. The Dragons did exactly that and had no issues dispatching Fairdale in the first round of the Class 5-A playoffs.

    A preseason filled with question marks and a roster light on experience didn’t prevent South Oldham football from finishing the regular season 9-1 for the third straight year. The Dragons defeated Shelby County 27-0 Friday, Oct. 26 in Shelbyville for their ninth straight win and second shut out of the season.

    Saint Xavier of Louisville (St. X) boy soccer took its first step toward defending its state title with a 6-1 victory over South Oldham in the first round of the KHSAA state tournament Tuesday Oct. 23 in Louisville. The Tigers scored three goals in the first half for their 23rd win of the season.

    After winning its first regional title since 2015, South Oldham boys soccer faces Saint Xavier of Louisville (St. X) in the first round of the state tournament Tuesday Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. The Tigers (22-2-1) will host South Oldham (8-10-3) for the second time this fall after the Dragons defeated Oldham County in the Eighth Region final last week.

    Dragon football owns the district. South Oldham defeated North Bullitt 50-20 Friday Oct. 19 in Crestwood, finishing their district schedule 5-0 for the fourth straight season. South Oldham has won the Class 5-A District 3 seven straight years.
