  • Colonel soccer wins district title

    The path was different, but Oldham County boys soccer found itself in a familiar place.

    The Colonels won their fourth straight district title with a 2-0 victory over South Oldham Thursday Oct. 11 in Crestwood. Luke O’Hara scored two goals two days after scoring twice in the district semi-finals against North Oldham.

  • Lady Colonel volleyball sweeps South in districts

    Oldham County volleyball defeated South Oldham in straight sets (25-20, 25-19, 25-19) in the District 29 semi-finals Tuesday Oct. 9 in Buckner.

    Lady Colonel coach Vince McDonough thought the combination of middle blockers Sequoia Hunt and Abby Shoulta limited South Oldham’s offensive attack.

    Oldham County girls soccer tied Boone County 1-1 Thursday Oct. 4 in Buckner in the final game of the regular season. Kennedi Roehrig scored the Lady Colonels lone goal on an assist from Tristan Whalen 10 minutes into the first half.

  • Ballard soccer outlasts Colonels

    Two late goals lifted Ballard boys soccer to a 2-0 victory over Oldham County Monday Oct. 1 in Buckner. The visiting Bruins scored two goals within 48 seconds with less than nine minutes left in the second half to defeated the Colonels on Senior Night.

  • Colonel football romps North Bullitt

    Oldham County football earned its first district win of the season with a 48-14 victory over North Bullitt Friday Sept. 28.

    Parker Caudill completed 5 of 10 passes for 103 yards and three touchdowns. Lucas Jones rushed for 54 yards while Juan Tapia added 51 yards on the ground. Jalen Moore had four receptions for 93 yards and three scores for the visiting Colonels.

    September couldn’t have started much better for Oldham County cross country. The girls team won all three meets while the boys team, led by Jacob Brizendine, won two meets.

  • Lady Mustang volleyball tops Oldham

    Once North Oldham volleyball paired its hustle with good decision making, the Lady Mustangs captured the number one seed in the district tournament. North Oldham defeated Oldham County in four sets (21-25, 25-8, 25-14, 25-19) Tuesday Sept. 26 in Buckner.

    After losing the first set, North Oldham cleaned up its mistakes for a strong response in the final three sets.

    Oldham County volleyball used a balanced offensive attack to defeated Jeffersontown (J’town) in straight sets (25-15, 25-17, 25-12) Thursday Sept. 20 in Buckner.

    “When we are blocking well and being able to distribute the ball to all positions, it makes us so good,” Oldham County coach Vince McDonough said. “

  • Colonels host Dragons for rivalry showdown

    Oldham County hosts South Oldham for the final intra-county football game of the fall Friday Sept. 21 in Buckner. It’s the first time since 2005 that Colonels (4-0) are undefeated going into the game against rival South Oldham (3-1).
