  • Colonel football bashes Seneca

    Oldham County football improved to 4-0 with a 65-6 victory over Seneca Friday Sept. 14 in Buckner. The Colonels had 380 yards of total offense while the visiting Redhawks finished with 111 yards of total offense. 

  • Girls Soccer: Oldham outlasts North

    Behind three goals by Tristan Whalen, Oldham County girls soccer earned its first victory of the season with a 3-2 win over North Oldham Wednesday Sept. 12 in Goshen.

  • Colonel football defeats Collins

    Oldham County football defeated Collins 31-14 Friday Sept. 7. Parker Caudill 8 of 12 passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 64 yards. Jacob Ratliff had 64 receiving yards and a touchdown along with eight tackles. Juan Tapia had 73 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

  • Oldham volleyball sweeps South

    Behind an efficient offensive attack, Oldham County volleyball defeated South Oldham in straight sets (25-15, 25-18, 25-15) Thursday Sept. 6 in Crestwood. Lady Colonel coach Vince McDonough thought setters Kali Letcher and Piper Scannell did well running the floor against the Lady Dragons.

  • Oldham County sweeps Shelby County cross country meet

    Oldham County cross country swept the Shelby County Invitational hosted Sept. 1 in Shelbyville while South Oldham took second in the annual meet.


    Oldham County won the 13-team event with 33 points. South Oldham placed second with 71 points.

  • Boys soccer: Colonels silence Mustangs

    Oldham County boys soccer continued its regular season mastery of District 29 opponents and is a win away from sealing a spot in the Eighth Region tournament. The Colonels defeated North Oldham 1-0 Tuesday Sept. 4 in Buckner for their seventh straight regular season victory against district opponents.

  • Colonels football tops Mustangs

    Once again, defense and a ground game carried Oldham County football to a victory.

    The Colonels extended their winning streak to three games over rival North Oldham with a 31-0 victory Friday Aug. 24 in Goshen. The Colonels are 2-0 for the first time since 2005 after rushing for 349 yards and notching their second straight shutout to begin the season.

  • Colonels and Mustangs prepare for rivalry

    There are no postseason implications at stake, but the annual rivalry between Oldham County and North Oldham represents the first of three intra-county football games this fall. This is the first time since 2012 that the teams will face off each with 1-0 records as the Colonels and Mustangs both won their season openers last Friday.

  • Boys Soccer: Colonels outshoot Shelby County

    A seemingly relentless attack finally broke through as Oldham County boys soccer defeated Shelby County 3-1 Tuesday Aug. 21 in Buckner. The Colonels maintained possession throughout and took more than 20 shots on goal before scoring for the first time midway through the second half.

  • Volleyball: Lady Colonels battle Ballard

    No part of it ever came easy, but Oldham County volleyball defeated Ballard in five sets (25-23, 23-25, 24-26, 25-23, 15-13) Monday Aug. 20 in Buckner. There were errors throughout, but coach Vince McDonough said the Lady Colonels used a next point mentality to fight through some of the mistakes and rally to victory after trailing two sets to one.
