  • Colonel basketball tops Butler

    A fast start and strong finish earned Oldham County boys basketball a win.

    The Colonels built a lead as large as 18 points and then held off a feverish comeback attempt to defeated Butler 61-57 in the Whitefield Down Syndrome Classic hosted at Whitefield Academy Saturday, Jan. 5 in Louisville.

  • Lady Colonel basketball outlasts PRP

    Oldham County girls basketball completed the Lady Panther Invitational undefeated with three wins as it defeated Pleasure Ridge Park (PRP) 62-57 Saturday Dec. 22 in Louisville. The Lady Colonels improved to 9-2 as Sophia Head finished with 16 points and Lakynn Goldsmith added nine points and 11 rebounds. Madison Clark scored 15 points. Bailey Duke had 10 points.

  • Lady Colonel basketball romps Metcalfe

    Oldham County girls basketball defeated Metcalfe County 76-49 Saturday, Dec. 22 in the Lady Panther Invitational hosted by Pleasure Ridge Park.

    Sophia Head finished with 15 points and eight assists. Alexis Head added 16 points. Lakynn Goldsmith had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds for Oldham County.

  • Conner girls basketball defeats Oldham

    Oldham County girls basketball struggled to string together defensive stops, falling to Conner 76-48 Saturday, Dec. 15 in Buckner.

    Alexis Head scored a team-high 11 points and Bailey Duke added 10 for Oldham County. 

    Savannah Jordan and Maddie Burcham each scored 15 points for Conner. Courtney Hurst finished with 12 points and Tyra Murphy had 11 points. 

  • Colonel basketball falls to Grant County

    Aaron Hurley went the length of the court in four seconds and hit a game-winning 3-pointer to hand Oldham County boys basketball its first loss of the season.

    Grant County rallied from a seven-point fourth quarter deficit to defeat Oldham County 66-63 Tuesday, Dec. 11 in Buckner.

  • Colonel basketball hosts Highlands

    Oldham County boys basketball showed some resilience to remain undefeated.

    The Colonels defeated Highlands 58-54 in the Ronald McDonald Classic Saturday, Dec. 8 in Buckner by holding off a comeback attempt by the visitors from the Ninth Region.

    Colonel coach Coy Zerhusen said his team was resilient in a back-and-forth game filled with runs.

  • Male girls basketball defeats Oldham County

    A day after a dominant district win, Oldham County girls basketball suffered its first loss of the season as Louisville Male defeated the Lady Colonels 57-38 Saturday, Dec. 8 in Buckner.

    Sophia Head had a team-high 14 points while Bailey Duke and Alexis Head each finished with six points for Oldham County.

  • Colonel basketball wins season opener

    New roles, same result.

    Oldham County boys basketball won its ninth straight season opener with a 67-55 victory over North Hardin Tuesday, Nov. 27 in Buckner. After facing an early 10-point deficit in the first half, the Colonels rallied and built a double-digit lead with a 15-2 run in the third quarter.
