Jerry “Keith” Capps, of La Grange, Ky., passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024. He was born to the late Jerry Frank and Abbie Lee Garner Capps in Burkesville, Ky. on April 22, 1945.
Keith earned his degree from Tri-City Barber College in 1965 before he owned and operated Keith’s Hair Port in Buckner for 40+ years. He loved woodworking, making canes and birdhouses and refurbishing furniture. Keith also enjoyed being outside gardening and planting flowers.
He is preceded in death by his siblings; Norma Flowers, Ralph Capps and Chattin Capps.
Left to cherish the memory of Keith are his daughter; Michelle Embrey (John), grandchildren; Rusty Newton (Ashley) and Christy Newton, great-grandchildren; Harlee, Caine, Ava, Logan and Jaida, siblings; Faye Swanner (Larry) and Larry Capps, extended family and friends.
A celebration of Keith’s life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 4 p.m. at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 706 W Jefferson St. in La Grange, Ky. with burial in Modoc Cemetery in Burkesville, Ky. at a later date. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the start of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to your local pet organization.
