Oldham County students are 100 days smarter. Thursday, February 1, marked the 100th day of school, and elementary students celebrated in a myriad of ways.

Many dressed up as centurions, others in decorated T-shirts, and others in hats celebrating the occasion.

Buckner Elementary kindergarteners enjoyed a unique reading time with a remarkable visitor. Former teacher, Holly Collins, aged 103, temporarily left retirement to delight the kindergarten classes as a special guest reader.

Throughout the district, classrooms were filled with laughter and curiosity as these spirited 100-year-olds engaged in a day of learning and play, creating a memorable milestone in their academic journey.
