  • Ballard field hockey edges South

    A stifling defensive performance led Ballard field hockey to a 2-0 victory over South Oldham in Crestwood Sept. 16. The Lady Dragons were shut out for the third time this season as the visitors didn't allow many clean shots.

  • Colonel football to Manual

    Manual football defeated Oldham County 41-14 in Louisville Sept. 14 as six different players scored touchdowns for the Crimsons.

    Sam Young completed 15 of 25 for 126 yards and touchdown. Juan Tapia rushed for 88 for the Colonels. Bryce Rochet had a team-high eight tackles while Jaylen McRoberts and Preston Dykes each added six tackles.

  • Cross country results from Franklin County, Fleet Feet

    Cross Country teams from Oldham County competed in meets this weekend.

    Oldham County won the 36-team meet at New Horse Park in Lexington Sept. 14 with 55 points. Sacred Heart Academy placed second with 98 points. South Oldham was 12thwith 379 points.

  • Dragon football romps North Oldham

    South Oldham stretched its winning streak to five games against a rival. The Dragons defeated North Oldham 38-0 in Goshen Sept. 13 to improve to 3-1.

    After both teams played a scoreless first quarter, South Oldham scored 38 unanswered points in the second and third quarters. The Dragons have shut out North Oldham in three straight games.

  • Volleyball: Oldham edges South in four sets

    A second-set adjustment helped Oldham County volleyball come away with a tightly contested rivalry win. The Lady Colonels defeated South Oldham in four sets (21-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-21) in Buckner Sept. 12.

    Colonel golf places third at Butler Invitational

    Oldham County boys golf placed third at the Butler Invitational with a 320.

    Jaden Wilson finished with a team-best 75. Ben Spencer shot an 80 while Evan Beery and Isaac Moody each carded an 82. Tyler Wirth shot an 87.

  • Girls Soccer: South tops Oldham

    Seemingly all aspects of the game came together in South Oldham’s 10th win of the season. The Lady Dragons handed Oldham County its first loss of the year with a 3-0 victory in Crestwood Sept. 11.

  • Twenty Oldham County nonprofits participating in Give for Good Louisville

    The biggest day of local giving returns at midnight tonight when Give for Good Louisville kicks off. 

    Over 500 nonprofits are participating in the 24-hour giving day, including 20 out of Oldham County. Over $129,000 was raised for the Oldham County nonprofits that participated in 2018.

  • South field hockey romps PRP

    South Oldham field hockey won its fifth straight game with an 11-0 victory over Pleasure Ridge Park (PRP) in Crestwood Sept. 10. Anna Crump scored a team-high four goals while Abby Garrett added two scores for the Lady Dragons in a game that ended at halftime because of a mercy rule.

Fathers are more likely to face another level of issues such as false abuse or domestic violence claims.
