  • HSOC launches “give me shelter” campaign to raise funds for $1.3 million new facility

     The Humane Society of Oldham County (HSOC) has announced it will soon break ground on a $1.3 million facility thanks to an anonymous donor and the public’s help.

    The HSOC learned in 2017 that they would be losing their current building in La Grange on Hwy. 53.

  • Softball: Holy Cross edges South Oldham

    Holy Cross (Louisville) softball defeated South Oldham 3-2 in the semi-finals of the Lady Dragon Classic in Crestwood Saturday, April 13. Bella Velez hit a game-winning home run with one out in the seventh inning.

    Hailee Bates allowed three runs in six and 1/3 innings for South Oldham. MacKenna Williams went 2 for 4 with a run scored and double.

  • Softball: Anderson County beats Oldham

    Anderson County softball defeated Oldham County 5-4 in the semi-finals of the Lady Dragon Classic in Crestwood Saturday, April 13. Lexi Tinsley hit a game-winning two-run home run with two outs in the seventh inning. 

    Madison Davis went 2 for 4 with two RBIs for Oldham County.

  • Softball: Lady Dragons outlast Fairdale

    South Oldham softball defeated Fairdale 11-7 in the Lady Dragon Classic tournament Saturday, April 13 in Crestwood.

    MacKenna Williams went 4 for 4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Hailee Bates pitched five innings to earn the win for South Oldham.

    Oldham County softball defeated Shelby County 15-0 in the first round of the Lady Dragon Invitational tournament Saturday, April 13 in Crestwood.

  • SOLL honors Officer Mengedoht

    South Oldham Little League (SOLL) honored fallen Louisville Metro Police Officer Deidre Mengedoht, who died in an accident on Interstate 64 last December while conducting a traffic stop, by unveiling a memorial and renaming a field in her name on Opening Day, Saturday April 13.

    100 meter dash- Oldham County’s Jalen Moore placed second in 11.45. Wilson Tinnell and Juan Tapia were sixth and seventh, respectively, for Oldham County.

  • Bonds set at $50,000 for 2 men charged in Circle K shooting, robbery

    Two Oldham County residents have been arrested in connection with a shooting at the Circle K gas station in Centerfield April 11.

    Oldham County Police have charged Austin Ransdell, 18, with first-degree robbery, first-degree assault and tampering with physical evidence and Andrew Tetidrick, 19, with first-degree robbery and first-degree assault.
