  • Softball: Anderson County beats Oldham

    Anderson County softball defeated Oldham County 5-4 in the semi-finals of the Lady Dragon Classic in Crestwood Saturday, April 13. Lexi Tinsley hit a game-winning two-run home run with two outs in the seventh inning. 

    Madison Davis went 2 for 4 with two RBIs for Oldham County.

  • Softball: Lady Dragons outlast Fairdale

    South Oldham softball defeated Fairdale 11-7 in the Lady Dragon Classic tournament Saturday, April 13 in Crestwood.

    MacKenna Williams went 4 for 4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Hailee Bates pitched five innings to earn the win for South Oldham.

    Oldham County softball defeated Shelby County 15-0 in the first round of the Lady Dragon Invitational tournament Saturday, April 13 in Crestwood.

  • SOLL honors Officer Mengedoht

    South Oldham Little League (SOLL) honored fallen Louisville Metro Police Officer Deidre Mengedoht, who died in an accident on Interstate 64 last December while conducting a traffic stop, by unveiling a memorial and renaming a field in her name on Opening Day, Saturday April 13.

  • Results for NOHS All-Comers

    North Oldham track and field hosted an All-Comers meet Tuesday, April 9 in Goshen.


    100 meter dash- Oldham County’s Jalen Moore placed second in 11.45. Wilson Tinnell and Juan Tapia were sixth and seventh, respectively, for Oldham County.

  • Bonds set at $50,000 for 2 men charged in Circle K shooting, robbery

    Two Oldham County residents have been arrested in connection with a shooting at the Circle K gas station in Centerfield April 11.

    Oldham County Police have charged Austin Ransdell, 18, with first-degree robbery, first-degree assault and tampering with physical evidence and Andrew Tetidrick, 19, with first-degree robbery and first-degree assault.

  • Storm leaves thousands without power, causes minor damage

    Strong storms hit Oldham County early this morning causing damage and leaving thousands without power.

    Oldham County Emergency Management Director Jerry Nauert said high winds have accounted for much of the damage, causing trees to be uprooted and in some instances snapping.

  • Man accused of incest posts $50,000 bail

     Editor’s note: The following story contains information that may be disturbing to some readers.

    A Crestwood man is accused of sexually assaulting his niece for over two years.

    Gary Barr, 66, was arrested on Friday, April 5 at 8:30 p.m. after he called  police and said his niece was attempting to stab a dog, according to an arrest citation.

  • Softball: Lady Colonels top North

    Runs weren’t easy to come by, but several big hits were enough for Oldham County softball to defeat North Oldham 3-2 Thursday, April 11 in Buckner.

    Kalee Rose pitched a complete game, allowing four hits and two runs. Elana Ornelas hit a two-run home run while Taylor Jackson went 2 for 3.
