    Two Crestwood residents – one a Louisville police officer – face several charges relating to an incident during the holiday weekend at Molly Malone’s Pub.
    Kathryn Fanning, 23, and Lauren Fanning, 24, are charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, second-degree disorderly conduct, third-degree assault on an officer and resisting arrest.

    Tammy Simmons, 38, of Bedford, has filed a civil suit alleging she’s a victim of unwanted sexual contact that allegedly took place in Dr. Ashok Alur’s Crestwood office.

  • I-71 callers help police apprehend DUI-suspected driver

    Drivers traveling southtbound on Interstate 71 recently helped police locate a Massachusetts man allegedly driving carelessly and under the influence.

    Dispatchers from Kentucky State Police Post 5 and Oldham County Dispatch said several callers reported a careless driver traveling I-71 southbound through Henry and Oldham counties around 7 p.m. Nov. 13.

  • Mother suspected of DUI strikes subdivision entrance while driving home from school

    A La Grange woman faces a DUI charge after she allegedly ran a stop sign and crashed into the entrance of Lynwood subdivision as she drove her son home from school.

    According to police, Margery L. Lemaster, 43, of La Grange, allegedly ran a stop sign at the intersection of Ky. 22 and Ky. 53 about 3:35 p.m. in Ballardsville.

    Her vehicle struck a brick column at the entrance of Lynwood subdivision.

    Police said Lemaster’s 8-year-old son wasn’t properly restrained in the front seat of the vehicle.

  • Crestwood Supermarket robbed by gunman in black

    A gunman entered Crestwood Supermarket just a few minutes before the store’s closing time Friday night and demanded cash.
    According to police, a white male entered the store at 9:54 p.m. Friday wearing a black hoodie, black toboggan and dark jeans.
    He approached two employees at the front register and demanded cash as he brandished a weapon.
    The suspect fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash, and witnesses believe he may have fled in a silver PT Cruiser traveling north on Central Avenue toward Claymont Springs subdivision.

  • I-71 traffic stop yields $10K in stolen property

    A routine traffic stop led police to more than $10,000 in merchandise stolen from various retail stores and a stolen 9mm pistol.
    Oldham County Police stopped Derike Peterson, 39, of Dayton, Ohio, as he traveled southbound on I-71 Saturday.
    According to police, officers found a stolen 9mm pistol stowed under the driver’s seat and about $10,000 in stolen merchandise in his vehicle.
