    Survivors include her husband, Robert M. Dennie; her daughter, Tammy L. Dennie Eggen of Louisville; and three sons, Michael Wayne Dennie of Georgetown, Danny Ray (Cynthia) Dennie of Greely, Colo. and Robert Anthony (Penny) Dennie of Defoe.

    Services were Monday at the Shannon Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Waterfill officiating.

    Carol James Brubaker, of Crestwood, passed away Friday, May 21, 2010, after a short illness, surrounded by family at her daughter’s home in Crestwood.


    She was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren at various activities. She enjoyed working throughout the years, with 22 years spent working at various nursing homes and most recently, before retiring in 2009, at Sams Club in Crestwood. She worked for 10 years on the womans auxiliary at Elyria North Little League.

     Ruth Ennis Peak, 96, of North Richard Hills, Texas, formerly of La Grange, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2010.

  • Oliney F. ‘Dick’ Bentley, 83

    Oliney F. “Dick” Bentley, 83, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010.

    He retired as a tool-and die-maker from Chrysler and was an Army veteran. He was a past master of the Masonic Lodge in Van Dyke, Mich., and a shriner.

    He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Ida Bentley, and a daughter, Patricia Holzer.

    Survivors include his wife, Geneva Kincer Bentley; a son, Mitchell D. Bentley; and two grandchildren, Steven Holzer and Sheila Holzer Tranzow.

    Services will be private.
