Year in Review: District 8 Magistrate Michael Logsdon

-A A +A

First, let me start by saying it has been a pleasure serving my constituents of District 8 and the people of Oldham County. It’s truly been a wonderful year and I want to thank you.

I have learned a lot over the past year, serving on three committees, answering countless phone calls and meeting with constituents.

As a magistrate, one can make it a full time job if they so desire.  There is always another issue that needs to be taken care of or a problem to be solved.

I have lived in Oldham County for 48 years. It is my home and every decision I make is for the people of Oldham County and how it will affect them.

The current eight magistrates and the county judge-executive are always looking for ways to save the county money and pay down our debt just like we do to at home, as we are stewards of the county’s money.

We have accomplished a lot this year and much more is needed.

The two most important problems in my opinion are traffic problems in Crestwood and Pewee Valley and attracting new businesses to the county.

Traffic problems in Crestwood and Pewee Valley are currently being worked on.

We need to somehow attract new business to the county 1) so that the people of Oldham County do not have to drive to surrounding areas to work and 2) to relieve the tax burden on residential homeowners.

I am truly honored and blessed to serve the people of Oldham County and I am looking forward to the next three years. Again, thank you!
