Republicans will also vote on a candidate for state representative in the 47th district, choosing between T.K. Broecker and Charity Wolf-Edmonston.

Democratic incumbent Rick Rand is running uncontested.

Broecker emphasizes his business experience and said it is time for the legislature to change and make Kentucky a better place to live.

He said it is time for the legislature to adapt, and said nothing has changed since he ran against Rand two years ago.

Wolf-Edmonston said she has committed herself to renewing the American spirit for younger generations. She said she would support educational reform and that there is no economic or job growth without an educated workforce.
