Long-time staff member Greg Allen has been selected as campus pastor for the Oldham campus of Southeast Christian Church in Crestwood.

Allen has been on staff with the church for 30 years and served in capacities such as student pastor, worship pastor, lead team pastor and now, campus pastor in Oldham County.

Tim Hester, executive pastor of Southeast Christian Church, said Allen has been on “a journey which has led him to be the great leader who will replace another great leader, Kurt Sauder, former campus pastor at our Oldham Campus.”

Allen was born in Crestwood.

“I love the Oldham family and look forward to serving them and our God,” he said.

Allen’s immediate family includes his wife, Laurie, and three daughters Chelsea, Macie and Chloe.

Although he is an Oldham County native,  Allen’s journey took him through Hardin County where he graduated from Elizabethtown High School in 1979. He later earned degrees from Milligan College in Tennessee in 1983 and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1986.

“As Southeast Christian continues to move forward as a one church in many locations to honor God, I am humbled and thrilled God has led me to be campus pastor at our Oldham campus,” Allen said.

At present, weekend attendance at the Oldham campus in Crestwood Station averages 3,000. It launched in January 2011.

Southeast Christian has campuses in Louisville on Blankenbaker Parkway, in Crestwood and in Southern Indiana.
