North Oldham softball will have the ultimate home field advantage in the District 29 softball tournament May 18-21.

The Lady Mustangs will not only play host to Oldham County, South Oldham and Trimble County for a spot in the Region 8 Tournament, but they enter as the top-seed with a 16-10 record overall and a 5-1 mark in district play. They will play No. 4 South Oldham (1-16, 0-6) May 18 at 5:30 p.m.

Oldham County, which lost to North on April 22 for the first time in five years, will be the No. 2 seed and play Trimble County (11-7, 3-3) on May 19 at 5:30 p.m. in Goshen.

That game will serve as a rematch for the Lady Colonels (17-13, 4-2) who lost to Trimble County 5-4 last week as the result of five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning.

The championship game will be Thursday, May 21 at 5:30 p.m.

Oldham County is the defending District 29 champions after beating North Oldham last year 6-3 in the district title game.
