The 2011 Kentucky League of Cities' annual convention brought a great honor to the City of Prospect and Mayor Todd Eberle.

The 2011 annual KLC “Elected Official of the Year Award” was bestowed upon Mayor Eberle at the closing day luncheon.

The award “recognizes elected city officials who demonstrate leadership, innovation and commitment to community advancement” according to the League of Cities, an organization representing more than 370 cities across Kentucky. An independent panel of city officials and employees selected Mayor Eberle based on a nomination which described him as “committed to citizen inclusion, collaboration and transparency and as open minded, a true gentleman and a great listener."

This year the award was sponsored by the Covington law firm of Adams, Stepner, Woltermann and Dusing.

Their sponsorship allowed for a $1,000 donation to be made in honor of Eberle to his chosen community charities, which he split between Louisville Public Media and the Jefferson County League of Cities. Congratulations Mayor Eberle!
