The Prospect Area Chamber of Commerce recently presented a check for $3,500 to The Council on Developmental Disabilities from the PACC’s Sept. 14 Golf Scramble.

The scramble, held at Eagle Creek Golf Course in La Grange, drew more than 70 golfers.

“We’re so fortunate the membership and community supports us by donations, sponsoring and playing in the scramble,” said David Dunbar, 2013 PACC Board President. “Their generosity allows us to give back to the community through our partnership with, and monetary donation to a non-profit each year.”

Dunbar said the PACC is proud to support the council, which serves individuals with developmental challenges and their families throughout the state.

The council was founded in 1952 by a group of parents seeking educational services for their children with disabilities. The council works to develop programs and services and to turn those services over to appropriate providers.
