North Oldham got a test for the second week in a row, traveling to Christian Academy of Louisville for a showdown with the Centurions. After playing to a 7-7 stalemate in regulation, the teams needed two overtimes to settle the score before North finally pulled away 17-14 on a game-winning 24 yard field goal from Caleb Kellogg.

Josh Smith led the way for North, carrying the ball for 103 of the Mustangs 182 rushing yards and two TDs, one in the first quarter and one in the first overtime.

Cody Elbert had a big night on the defensive end for the Mustangs, piling up four big sacks to help secure the win.

North Oldham's rush defense was a little shaky on the night as it allowed sophomore running back Nick Payne to rack up 155 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

The Mustangs will return home for their next game as they host 3A Elizabethtown in a 7:30 showdown Friday night.

Check back tomorrow afternoon for an extended recap.
