A 26-year-old female was killed in an accident in Crestwood this morning.

The Oldham County Police Department, South Oldham Fire Department, Pewee Valley Fire Department and Oldham County EMS initially received a report of a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of Highway 329 and Highway 22.

A Nissan Quest traveling southbound on Highway 329 crossed into the opposite lane and struck a Toyota Tacoma at approximately 9:20 a.m., according to police’s initial investigation.

“A third vehicle, a black 2019 Toyota Prius that was stopped at the traffic light suffered incidental damage,” according to a press release.

Police are considering speed as a factor in the accident.

The operator of the Tacoma, Pewee Valley resident James McWilliams, was transported to University of Louisville Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Nissan Quest, Crestwood resident Ashley Stamper, was killed in the incident.
