OCSAC begins ticket sales


The Oldham County Schools Arts Center’s musical production of “The Wizard of Oz” will be performed Thursday through Saturday, May 12, 13 and 14 at 7 p.m. at 7105 Floydsburg Road in Crestwood. 

The Arts Center’s theatre director, Kathie Davis, and dance director/choreographer, Trina Jackson, have joined their talents to produce a thrilling show with a cast of 70 munchkins, flying monkeys and assorted interesting witches, wizards, friends and foes of Dorothy.  

Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for students or children. They may be purchased at the door or in advance by calling (502) 241-6018.

Theatre camp auditions

Auditions for a summer theatre camp/production of “Godspell” will be held May 16 and 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Oldham County Schools Arts Center for students ages 12-18. Rehearsals are Monday through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., June 27 through Aug. 4, culminating in performances on Aug. 5 and 6 at 7 p.m.

Ford test drive program

Arrive and drive! Take a free two-minute test drive and Ford Motor Company will donate up to $6,000 to the Oldham County Educational Foundation (OCEF) to use for OCS programs. 

On Saturday, May 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Oldham County High School, Ford will donate $20 to OCEF for each test drive, and the organization’s goal is to have 300 test drives. 

This fundraiser is hosted by Tri-County Ford Mercury and sponsored by The Jones Group and Ernst Concrete. Also, Mortenson Family Dental will offer hot-air balloon for rides during this fun event.

NOHS students score 36

Three juniors from North Oldham High School recently received perfect scores of 36 on their ACT tests. They are Marcos Valdes, William O’Loane and Jack Doligale.
