Anne Downing, 38, was initially arrested November 12, 2017 at her home in Crestwood after police showed up looking for a missing minor. Inside, police found open bottles of alcoholic beverages, which several minors admitted to drinking.

Oldham County Police then arrested her again December 27, 2017 after an investigation.

According to juveniles interviewed by police, Downing provided alcohol and marijuana to minors at her home around Oct. 14, Oct. 28 and Nov. 5 in 2017.

“On Oct. 28, the defendant engaged in oral sex with a male juvenile known to her at the time to be 14-years-old,” according to court documents.

Downing pleaded guilty to third degree sodomy, second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor and two counts of third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor in Oldham County Circuit Court today.

During her plea hearing, Judge Karen Conrad asked Downing what happened in the sodomy charge.

“I engaged in oral sex with a minor,” Downing responded.

Judge Conrad then asked the juvenile’s age. Downing replied 14-years-old.

Downing also told Judge Conrad that she provided alcohol and marijuana to minors.

Downing’s attorney, Gary Stewart, said she wanted to begin serving time today.

She was booked into the Oldham County Detention Center. Downing has remained out on bail since December.

She will get credit for the time served while she’s in custody.

She is scheduled to appear in Oldham County Circuit Court Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. for sentencing.  The details of her sentencing were not discussed.
