A couple has been charged with sexually abusing a student at their home in Crestwood.

Declan Mcauley, 54, and Ariadne McAuley M, 35, were arrested by Oldham County Police June 13.

Oldham County Police began investigating the couple after they received a complaint of sexual assault between them and a minor.

“Between August 11, 2017 and December 10, 2017, at their home in Crestwood, both Mcauleys, engaged in sexual acts with the victim,” according to Oldham County Police.

Oldham County Police’s investigation revealed that the sexual acts happened at least seven times.

Police say the pair would also have sex in front of the victim.

The juvenile was a student and an employee of the Fleur-De-Lis Ballet Academy in Louisville, which is owned and operated by the couple.

Police also say they also found naked pictures of the victim sleeping on Declan Mcauley’s phone.

They are both facing multiple charges of first degree sexual abuse and unlawful transaction with a minor.

Each of their bonds was set at $25,000.

The pair appeared in Oldham County District Court June 14 via video arraignment, where Judge Jerry Crosby set a court hearing for the pair for June 20.

“So does that I mean I am in this custody until June 20?” Ariadne McAuley asked.

“Unless you post bond, yes,” Crosby answered.

Both Mcauley and McAuley said they would hire an attorney.

The pair bailed out of the Oldham County Detention Center June 15 for $2,500 each.

They are scheduled to appear in Oldham County District Court for a preliminary hearing June 20 at 1 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing.
