  • Oldham County falls 33-16 to...

Matt Brown knows his Oldham County squad still has plenty of strides to make on both sides of the ball to get where they want to go. But if the first half of last night's game with Shelby County is any indication, they're well on their way.

Though they ultimately fell just short, dropping a heartbreaking 33-16 loss to the Rockets, a strong defensive effort in the opening 24 minutes kept the game close at 6-3 at the half.

While wet weather didn’t stop the Oldham County Eagles from capturing a Special Olympics state championship on Sept. 9, it certainly made things a little more difficult as the double-elimination tournament shifted to a single-elimination format due to heavy rain in Bowling Green.

Sharing a bracket with the Northern Kentucky Cobras and Pitt Academy, two stumbling blocks for the Eagles all season, didn’t help either.

  • North Oldham moves into 1st...
