  • Lady Dragon softball stays sharp...

    Last year, South Oldham softball moved into spring break with a 4-2 record and spent a week away from softball while school wasn’t in session. The week off may not have been beneficial for the Lady Dragons as the team won just two of their final 14 games.

    Boys

    South Oldham placed fifth with 51 points while Oldham County 50 finished sixth with 50 points. North Oldham placed eighth with 41 points.

    100 meter dash- Jalen Moore earned four points for Oldham County with a fifth place finish after running in 11.65. South Oldham’s Trey Garrison placed eighth.

  • Mother of OCHS softball player...

    Pam Sowell, mother of Oldham County High School softball player DeLaney Sowell, passed away in her sleep while on the team's spring break trip in Florida last Thursday. 

    Sowell was the team's booster representative and managed concessions over the past four years. Her husband, JM Sowell, is an assistant coach for the Lady Colonels.

  • Pickleball spreads into Oldham...

    Bill and Karen Hopkins have moved around preaching their own gospel, the sport of pickleball. The two introduced Oldham County to the sport several years ago when they arrived and now help to run a group that plays four days a week at the La Grange Community Center.

     North Oldham track and field hosted its annual invitational last Thursday as all three Oldham County high schools competed in the 22-team event.

    100 meter dash-North Oldham’s Conner Newhouse finished third with a time of 11.26 while Oldham County’s Jalen Moore placed sixth.

  • Tomes silences bats in South...

    It took a few innings for South Oldham softball to find a spark offensively, but runs weren’t as necessary as pitcher Aaliyah Tomes turned in one of the best games in her career. The freshman held Bullitt Central to six hits and one run in six innings to earn the win in South Oldham’s 9-1 victory on Thursday night.

  • Colonels sweep Oldham County...

    Oldham County track and field edged out New Albany to finish first in the annual Oldham County Kick Off Classic on Friday night in Buckner.

    The Colonels (109 points) edged past New Albany (108 points) for first place while South Oldham and North Oldham placed fourth and ninth, respectively, in the 11-team competition.

  • Chapman's highlight play...

    Trevor Chapman and Ian Gifford each scored four goals as South Oldham boys lacrosse snapped their two-game losing streak with a 16-11 win over St. Charles North (Ill.) Saturday evening. Chapman scored three goals in the second half, but it was his score late in the third quarter that stood out.
