     Kenny Burke believes the South Oldham High School girls soccer coaching job is the best job of its kind in Kentucky.

    He can now call it his own, and it opened up just down the hall.

    South Oldham athletics director Mitchell Irvin confirmed to the Era on Monday evening that Burke has been named the next head coach of the defending state champion Lady Dragons soccer program.

    North Oldham coach Erik Anderson had plenty of reason to be happy with his Lady Mustangs start to the regular season.

    You can count 21 of them.

    North registered 13 hits and handled business in drizzly Crestwood Thursday evening to shutout South Oldham 21-0.

    The Lady Mustangs (1-1) scored 12 runs in the second inning and added six more in the third to end the game early.
