  • Right for Ray: South Oldham...

There wasn’t anything special about the pregame routine for the North Oldham and South Oldham girls lacrosse Tuesday evening in Goshen. South Oldham coach Bob Newton began announcing his team’s lineup. No surprises with the starters until he called got to the last name.

    “Hannah!” he shouted.

And there was senior Hannah Ray. Standing near the outside of the huddle and like she had all season, not given any thought to her name in the lineup.

GOSHEN – North Oldham is discovering very quickly that it isn’t going to cruise through district play in the same way it dominated the first half of its season.

I just watched it to fulfill my curiosity of the biggest sporting event that day.

  • Dragons' lacrosse edges...

CRESTWOOD ----— Based on the result of South Oldham’s 11-8 win over North Oldham Friday night, it would be easy to draw a conclusion that the two teams would be the top contenders in the district. You wouldn’t have known that the Mustangs were winless at the time and that the Dragons were winners of five straight.
