  • BASEBALL: District 29 Tournament...

    Oldham County will host the District 29 baseball tournament as the top-seed.

    The Colonels (15-8 overall, 5-1 District 29) swept two series with South Oldham and Trimble County and won on the road at North Oldham to take the top-spot in the tournament.

    OC will host No. 4 Trimble County (7-13, 0-6) Monday, May 18, at 5:30 p.m. to open tournament play. No. 2 North Oldham (20-4, 4-2) will play No. 3 South Oldham (12-13, 3-3) immediately following the first game.

  • Thomas tied for lead heading...

    Goshen native Justin Thomas shot a third-round 65 today at THE PLAYERS to tie for first place.

    Thomas hit a PLAYERS championship record 10 birdies in the third round and birdied on the 18th to move to -8 in the tournament. 

    From 193-yards out, Thomas set him self up nicely placing the ball 4-feet from the hole leading up to his 10th birdie for the lead.

     North Oldham softball will have the ultimate home field advantage in the District 29 softball tournament May 18-21.

    The Lady Mustangs will not only play host to Oldham County, South Oldham and Trimble County for a spot in the Region 8 Tournament, but they enter as the top-seed with a 16-10 record overall and a 5-1 mark in district play. They will play No. 4 South Oldham (1-16, 0-6) May 18 at 5:30 p.m.

     GOSHEN — Before district play began, North Oldham made a strong case to be a heavy favorite as the top-seed. As it played out, the Mustangs split both series with Oldham County and South Oldham, with a runs-allowed tie breaker landing them the No. 2 seed.
