    South Oldham wrestling hosted the annual Dragon Invitational Saturday. Saint Xavier (Louisville) won the 13-team event with 322 points while Oldham County placed second with 265 points. North Oldham finished fifth with 102 points and South Oldham was sixth with 88.5 points.

  • North swimming wins Oldham Cup

    North Oldham swimming won the Oldham County Cup for the eighth straight year last Friday at the University of Louisville Ralph Wright Natatorium. The Mustangs boys and girls team combined for 536 points while South Oldham finished second with 380 points and Oldham County finished third with 224 points.

    For the first time since 2014, South Oldham girls basketball defeated Trimble County, a 61-18 win Thursday night in Bedford. The victory, South Oldham’s second district win of the season, assures the Dragons of at least a number two seed in the District 29 tournament in late February.

    Collins boys basketball had little trouble scoring as South Oldham allowed its season high in points in the visiting Titans’ 89-73 victory Tuesday night in Crestwood. Devin Young had a team-high 20 points and six rebounds while Ben Johnson scored 15 points for South Oldham.

    South Oldham boys basketball answered every Oldham County momentum swing during the Colonels’ comeback attempt, coming away with a hard-earned 70-60 victory in Crestwood Friday night. The Dragons never relinquished their fourth quarter lead despite the Colonels closing the deficit to one possession five separate times in the final seven minutes.

    It took some time, but South Oldham girls basketball perimeter shooting found its moment and used it to defeat Oldham County 42-28 in Crestwood Friday night. Skylar Sahatjian had a game-high 16 points while Lexi Bowlden had nine points and 10 rebounds for South Oldham. Aliyah Swanson finished with eight points and Sophia Head added seven points for Oldham County.
