    After several disappointing outcomes in the regional tournament in recent years, Oldham County boys basketball is headed back to the KHSAA Sweet 16 State tournament for the first time since 2012 following a 71-56 victory over South Oldham in the regional final Tuesday March 6.

    South Oldham boys basketball entered the Eighth Region tournament losers of four of its past five games, but looked like its familar self in the annual regional tournament hosted at Henry County.

    Payton Herold had a team-high 23 points while Skylar Sahatjian finished with 17 points for South Oldham. Lexi Bowlden had five points and seven rebounds.

    The 2018 KHSAA Swimming and Diving State Championship ended as a historic day for North Oldham.

    The Mustang girls team placed as the state runner-up with 198 points and scored in every event, North Oldham best ever finish. On the boys side, Will Tarvestad brought back another state championship to Goshen as he won the 50 yard freestyle title.

    Oldham County boys basketball defeated South Oldham 77-56 Friday Feb. 23 in Goshen to claim the District 29 title for the eighth-straight year. The Colonels used a decisive 15-2 run to close out the third quarter to win the district title.
