    Raylene Blair, I don't know how you do it, but you Fastline folks always have terrific August weather for your event.

    What one would expect to be a typical steamy August morning turned out to be perfect - low humidity and a great temperature to run.

    Obviously, you thought the same thing because there was a large turn-out on Aug. 9 to benefit United Way, March of Dimes, American Cancer Society and Habitat for Humanity.

    CARROLLTON – Kaoru O'Bryan of Crestwood took top honors Saturday in Carrollton in the Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League, catching four fish for a total weight of 11.1 pounds.

    O'Bryan has come in second nine times in similar tournaments, watching a lead vanish in the last minutes of a weigh-in.

    But Saturday as he stood on the stage with tournament director Dave Maxfield, handing him a trophy and a check for $3,878.00, O'Bryan looked relieved.
