    LOUISVILLE – With their training peaking at the right time, South Oldham’s Jacob Law and Jessie Murner captured the individual cross country Region 3 titles Saturday at McNeely Lake Park.

    Murner led the SOHS girls to the team title while the North Oldham boys took the team title with SOHS second.

    CRESTWOOD – The Oldham County Youth Football League capped what may have been its most successful season ever with its championship games on the turf at South Oldham High School.

    The three games on a blustery, cold day ended a season that saw more than 500 players and 200 cheerleaders compete for the league championship.

    LEXINGTON – The Oldham County Trailblazers, an independent girls’ elementary and middle school cross country team, closed their season with a bang by notching a perfect score in the open division of the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association Meet of Champions in Lexington Saturday.

    LOUISVILLE – Although they went down in the first round of the state volleyball tournament, the North Oldham Lady Mustangs left on a positive note.

    “They loved the experience,” NOHS coach Aaron Jones said. “We told them going in they had nothing to lose and everything to gain and they went out and enjoyed themselves and played pretty well.”

    JEFFERSONTOWN – The Oldham County Colonels left no doubt about the district crown Friday rolling to a 42-14 win over Jeffersontown.

    The Colonels, 7-2 and ranked No. 8 in 5A, completed a perfect 4-0 district run.

  • NOHS headed to state

    MT. WASHINGTON – Dominating the net and playing with confidence, the North Oldham High School Lady Mustangs upset Oldham County in two games to win the regional title Thursday.

    The win avenged two losses to OCHS this year.
