    CRESTWOOD – The Kentucky Tae Kwon Do and Fitness Academy will be well represented at the U.S. Open Tae Kwon Do meet Monday in Las Vegas.

    Four members of the academy’s competitive team and Master/Coach Sean Ramey will attend the open.

     CRESTWOOD – After a week off with weather-related cancellations, the South Oldham Lady Dragons went back to the basics to beat Carroll County 42-37 Monday.

    Going to the boards and adding a bit of extra toughness on defense in the second half, The Lady Dragons, 10-10 on the year, won their fourth straight game and sixth in their last seven tries.

    GOSHEN – Opponents are finding out the hard way that Alex Foley is turning into North Oldham’s silent assassin.

    Foley, a 5-foot-11 junior guard, is scoring points in bunches of late and the Mustangs are winning when he does it.

     GOSHEN – If Oldham County Lady Colonels coach Larry Just reached any player during his halftime speech – it was Emily Lape.

    BUCKNER – The Oldham County High School wrestling team kept moving up the ladder Saturday as they won the team title at the Capitol City Classic in Frankfort.

    “Last year we won a duals meet at Moore, but I think it has been around four years since we have won an invitational,” OCHS coach Aaron Riordan said. “The kids were excited. They wrestled really well.”

    CRESTWOOD – With just a month left in the regular season, all three high school wrestling teams are heading for an inevitable showdown at the regional.

    “I really think it’s going to come down to us, Oldham and South as to who wins it,” NOHS coach Robert Fulk said. “We all match up pretty good and have some great kids.”
