  • North boys soccer win season...

GOSHEN – North Oldham didn’t waste time laying claim to its own tournament Monday night.

The Mustangs scored two goals within a minute and a half of each other less than 15 minutes into the match and then held on for a 3-1 win over Kentucky Country Day in the opening round of the Mustang Classic.

The season-opening win was the first for new North coach Chad Niedert.

“We weren’t particularly pleased with the possession we played… but that’s splitting hairs when you win 3-1 to start a season,” Niedert said.
