  • Cross Country: Dowdy places 38th...

South Oldham senior Cole Dowdy had a race he’d like to forget, but experienced a trip he’ll always remember.

Dowdy didn’t have his best race at last Saturday’s Foot Locker Cross Country National Championships in San Diego, finishing 38th out of 40 runners invited to the national event. Dowdy finished the race in 16:25, a minute slower than his record time set at Kentucky Horse Park in November (15:20) to win the Class 3-A individual championship.

  • Boys Basketball: South Oldham...

BEDFORD – South Oldham jumped out on Trimble County from the tip off and never looked back on its way to an 89-25 victory Monday night in Bedford.

Trenton Bouvet led the Dragons with 15 points and Jacob Bray added 14 as the Dragons moved to 5-0 on the young season and 1-0 in District 29 play. South remembered how last year’s district play started with a loss to Trimble County and made it a mission to avoid complacency no matter how wide the margin.
